ICE-CREAM MAKING

Im sure you all must love ice-cream. Well, room12 made ice-cream with Mrs Demchey! In my group there was Corban, Toby, Sam & me. Our group name is Fanta Galaxy.We enjoyed making ice-cream. The flavour was vanilla & blueberry Fanta. The target maaket for our ice-cream was hobbies/interests. Our company name was Cream For Kids. Our slogan was Crean For Kids, Cream For Life. Here are the names of the others groups...

Blog reflection on quad blogging

If a class would want to be a part of quad blogging, I would tell them that we post good comments on their blog and tell them what we were/are learning. Then that will tell them what to do when they start.

What makes a good comment is adding encouraging things and telling them what they can improve on.

What I like about quad blogging is that you learn what other schools are learning about.

This can help us in learning by the symbols, language and text.

I really don't think that any changes should be made.

Sherbet

Hello again viewers. Today, im  here to talk to you about making sherbet. We made sherbet on Tuesday. To make sherbet, we need...baking soda, icing sugar, citric and tartaric acid and powdered cordial(orange flavered powderded cordial). The yuckyest thing to try was baking soda.

 

Ripper Rugby

 Last week, room 12 started playing ripper rugby. We play ripper rugby every Monday morning. Last week, we were told we need to work on our team work.I didn't play this week because i had a bad knee. So far, we are all having fun!!! On Friday, the senior syndicate will  be having a challenge.

Gym sport

Last term & this term, we are all participating in gym sport & kapa haka. For gym sport, we had cheerleading, arobics, & hip hop. The kapa haka is not part of gym sport. I'm in cheerleading but not in the real team. Usman, Rhiannon, Ariana & Katherine & I are not all in the real team. Mrs Parkinson's husband made up a remix out of some songs.   It is really cool.

Mascot project

For home learning, we had to come up with a name for our new class mascot.This mascot is our other mascot Frostina's friend. We all had to come up with a name & i decided to call it Crouch. At the end, it got named it Lee Lee.

Friendship Recipe

Room12 had a task to write a Friendship Recipe. Here's mine...

• 500 grams of joy
• 2 cups of happiness
• 1/2 cup of loyalty

Waste to wow design

In week 8, we had our waste to wow trashin show.We had to create a wearable arts design. We had been put into groups. In our group, we had Chayse, Fazil, Brenna, Ariana, Nazaryth and our junior buddies Jeremiah,  Madison, & Richard. Our inspiration was a pohutakawa tree. The materials we used were green plastic bags (3-4),  1 black weave mat, leaves (13-29) to glue on the plastic bags, bark to glue on weave mat, scrap materiels, elastic.We tied the plastic bags & put a safety pins. We measured Chayse cause he was our model. We pinned the weave mat around Chayse and hot glue gunned bark on the mat.We also glued the leaves to the plastic bags. We used   the scraped materiels to make a head peace.

This weeks home learning was to do the the kiwi kids quiz. I got 80% correct.

Home learning

This week for home learning, Team12 had to go to the website called kiwikidsnnews.co.nz. We had to do the quiz &  Mrs Parkinson told us we had to post our results on our blog. I had 80%of the answers.  These are my results: My first answer was green party. My second answer was Bill English. My third answer was waka. My fourth answer was Hekia Parata. My fifth answer was Oklahoma City. My sisth answer was wings but the correct answer was pilot. My seventh answer was Grant Bray but the real answer was Mark Todd. My eighth  answer was New Zealand. My ninth answer was David Beckham. My tenth answer was Lisa Carrington.
